Raspberry leaves- Using a pot full of water bring a healthy bunch of raspberry leaves to a boil. Let it cool and use the water as a facial wash. As an alternative, you may also use blueberry or strawberry leaves.

Tea and basil facial cleanser- Cook about 5-6 bags of tea with dried basil and let the solution cool down. Apply it liberally on your face using cotton balls.

Cinnamon powder and honey mask- Mix honey and cinnamon in a bowl to create a thick pasty solution. Apply it to your face overnight and wash it off thoroughly in the morning. The combination of honey and cinnamon has a very good effect on your sebaceous glands as well as your pores. This is also effective in lightening acne scars.

White and brown sugar scrub- To get rid of dead skin cells that may cause acne when mixed with oil and dirt, you can mix a little water with brown and white sugar to create an effective facial scrub. Remember to use this gently so as not to damage the skin with vigorous rubbing.

Lemon juice- This is another acne home remedy, which will aid in reducing facial oil. Just squeeze fresh lemon juice and dab in on the face gently using a cotton ball. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.

These home remedies for acne will be most effective if you keep a very good regimen, which includes regularly washing your face.
